KINGSPORT - John Rutledge “Jack” King, 91, of Kingsport, died Saturday morning, April 23, 2016, after a brief illness. Following graduation from Dobyns-Bennett in 1943, he immediately went into the U.S. Army during WWII and served in General George Patton’s 3rd Army in Holland, France and Germany. He graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 1949. Jack entered into the family trucking business serving as President of Mason and Dixon Lines, Inc. and as President of Crown Enterprises.
